Christ the King - Fundraising and Festival Hours Requirements for School Families
The requirements for the Family Service Program are described in more detail on the school website. Each school family must complete a total of 17 service hours by the end of May for each school year:
• Fundraising 5 hours
• Festival 4 hours
• Personal Choice 8 hours
The only way to meet the 4 Festival Hours requirement is to volunteer at festival between the start and end of festival;
between Friday at 4:15pm and Saturday at 8:45pm.
All other volunteering hours for festival count towards Fundraising or Personal Choice hours. This includes festival setup, festival cleanup, and festival committee planning activities.
Q: What if you volunteer for more than 4 hours during Festival Hours?
A: Any hours more than the 4 required hours can be applied towards Fundraising or Personal Choice hours. You do not need to report these hours separately to the school. We will do that on your behalf.
Bonus Hours: Festival cleanup help is especially needed on the Sunday after festival, so we offer double fundraising hours that day -- if you sign up for a three (3) hour shift, you get Fundraising Hours credit for six (6) hours.
Note - Clean up hours do not count towards your 6 required Festival Hours. These are just Fundraising Hours.
